Who We Are

TN Tough Steel Buildings is a family-owned steel building company based in Tennessee. For nearly 20 years, we were on the ground building steel structures across the state, so when we say we know this industry inside and out, we mean it literally.

In 2023, we made a pivotal shift. We stopped erecting buildings locally and started selling Red Iron steel buildings nationwide, taking the expertise and work ethic we built over nearly two decades and bringing it to customers from coast to coast.

We’ve seen the way some companies operate in this industry: overpromising, underdelivering, and leaving customers confused or stuck. That’s exactly what we set out to change. At TN Tough, honesty isn’t a marketing line. It’s just how we do business.

Meet the Family

Jason Burns

Jason Burns has over 20 years of hands-on experience in building red iron steel buildings. He helps our customers with any issues that come up during the install process. After serving 12 years as a Sheriff, he started a contracting company building steel buildings, septics and utilities. After shoulder surgery in early 2023, Jason decided to stop erecting steel buildings and start helping customers around the US with their install process. While he doesn’t enjoy having his picture taken, he is an asset to all of our customers!

Lauren Burns

Lauren Burns has had her fair share of hands-on experience helping Jason and Caden while they installed buildings over the years. But she will assure you that she is much happier taking care of our customer’s quotes, field services and making sure you are going to love your building. Lauren prides herself in being available for her customers via phone, text and email and treating them like family. Her main focus has been to keep our small town business model but offering it nationwide.

Haisley Keen (Burns)

Haisley Keen brings a lifetime of industry exposure (yes, she was raised on our job sites) and over a decade of customer service experience to our team. Having grown up around job sites and the red iron steel building industry, she developed a strong understanding of hard work at an early age. Haisley began working at 15 years old and has since built a solid foundation in customer service, always focused on creating positive experiences. She takes pride in going the extra mile to ensure every customer is happy with their building and overall experience. Outside of work, Haisley enjoys bass fishing with her husband, diesel truck shows and of course horse shows!

Caden Burns

Caden Burns started erecting steel buildings around 15 years old with his Dad, Jason Burns. He learned early what it means to work hard and have a “can-do” attitude. Caden now runs his own business installing septics and utility lines. He also runs equipment out to some of our jobs when our local customers are in pinch. Outside of work, he loves working on diesel trucks and tinkering in his 40×60 red iron shop.
